Terms of use
Last changed 1 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Marten apps and a Marten account. By using them you agree to the terms.
What Marten is
Marten is a media player and library. It plays files you have and streams from add-ons you add yourself. Marten does not host, provide, link to or recommend any films, series or other content, and it ships with no add-ons.
Your sources are your responsibility
You choose what to add and what to play. You are responsible for having the right to watch it where you live, and for following the terms of any add-on or service you use with Marten. Add-ons are run by others; Marten does not control them and is not responsible for them.
Your account
Keep your password, and the codes from your authenticator app if you use one, to yourself. You can delete your account at any time (how). We may close an account that is used to break the law or these terms, or to harm the service or other people.
Copyright notices
Because Marten hosts no content, there is nothing on our side to take down. A notice about material reached through an add-on belongs with whoever runs that add-on. If you believe Marten itself is being used in a way that infringes your rights, write to support@getmarten.app.
Price
The app is free. A monthly Supporter subscription may be offered later; its price and terms will be shown before you pay, and it will not lock away any of the app’s features.
No warranty
Marten is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise that it will always work or be free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from using it.
Changes and law
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Swedish law applies.
